Hayley Orrantia is an American performer, songwriter and actress. The majority of people recognize the name as Erica Goldberg, from the TV show, 'The Goldenbergs. She is, however, musician. At the age of 9 of age, she began exploring music. Her first training began in the field of professional music when she was 12. After some experimentation with writing songs, she recorded her first album of music covers when she was 14. It has been non-stop ever since. Orrantia has Hispanic roots, however she was born in USA. Although she never lived or was a Spanish speaker in Mexico She is very proud about her Hispanic roots. By learning Spanish and writing songs, she tries to preserve the tradition. "Hasta Verte" is a song in Spanish that she has recorded, is a good illustration. Orrantia was a part of The X Factor season 1's auditions during the summer 2011. Orrantia was selected out of a YouTube video and was awarded four "yes" no votes by jury in the live audition stage held in Seattle, Washington. She initially auditioned in the show "Hollywood Week" as a solo artist. However, three female singers along with her were put together to audition other songs. Live shows were staged in the 5th week.
