Hayley Orrantia is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Many people recognize her by the title of Erica Goldberg, from the TV show, 'The Goldenbergs. However, she considers herself primarily an artist. She says that music was always her first love. At the age 12, she had taken serious enough about music to start professional training. She began songwriting when she was 13 and was 14 when she released her first album of cover songs. Since then she's never been back. Orrantia, born in America, has Hispanic roots. While she grew up with solely English and was never in Mexico she's extremely proud of her Hispanic roots. In order to maintain it, she has learned Spanish and has written songs using the language. One of her songs was an original Spanish song called 'Hasta Verte.' Orrantia performed for The X Factor during its inaugural season, which aired in the summer of 2011. Her YouTube video was picked and she received four "yeses" (or votes) for the judges during the Seattle audition. She initially auditioned to be a part of "Hollywood Week" in a one-on-one capacity. But, three other female vocalists as well as her were brought together for auditions of for the remaining tracks. They were eliminated in the fifth week of live shows.
